Presidents Message for November
It’s been one of the most beautiful falls that we’ve had in years and our members continue to enjoy Summer activities of hiking, biking, and golfing and this will continue until the snow flies. Thanks to all of our volunteer organizers for extending our Summer/Fall season.
Novembers here and it’s time to renew our memberships, so fill out your membership forms, with checks and send, or give, them to our membership director, Peggy Hanson. It’s important to get you forms in early so that your names will be listed in our annual directory. Also, it helps us in planning our budget for 2015.
Holiday time is approaching fast and our next fun event is our Christmas Party which is scheduled for Friday, December 5 at the Sidewinder Marriott. This year proves to be very special as one of members, Armondo, will be playing with his band. If you need any tickets just contact one of the board members and remember, there will be no will calls this year, unless paid for in advance. So trade in your hiking and biking shoes, and bring out the dance shoes.
Winter activities director, Lisa Hunter, has been busy soliciting volunteers for organizing snowshoe and cross country skiing events. If you ever considered, now’s the time to sign up to run an event, we’ll help you out. Mark your calendar for December 12 for the Winter Activity kickoff TGIF at the Sun Peak Club house. It’s a BYOB, and pot luck and we’re looking for help with snowshoe, cross country, and Blue/Green Ski events.
At this time, I would like to take the opportunity to extend all our members, and their families, a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Everyday, I am thankful for all the friends that I have made and all the Fun that I have experienced since I joined the Park City Mountain Sports Club.
Happy and Safe Trails,
