Ski Schedule for the 2018 season
Our regular ski schedule will start on January 1, 2018. Every Friday all PCMSC members will get a club email blast every Friday with the details of the ski schedule for the week. GROUP MEETING INFORMATION: Most groups will begin skiing at 10:00 am SHARP, unless otherwise noted, so make sure you have gone to the restroom in advance; it is not reasonable to expect a group to wait in the cold for anyone who is not prompt. These are our standard meeting locations:
▪ DV—the “beach” at Silver Lake in between the restaurant and Sterling lift or inside the Silver Lake Restaurant if you are early
▪ PC—inside the Miners Camp Restaurant at the bottom of the Silverload lift
▪ Canyons—inside Red Pine lodge at the top of the gondola
Most of these locations are one or two lifts up in the ski areas, so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to get to the meeting places after you arrive at the ski areas. Program the ski leader’s cell phone into yours incase you get separated from the group. If the weather is questionable (too windy, too cold) please check with leaders (by 8:30 am) to be sure the ski day has not been cancelled.
Brighton Ski Days
Jay Frankenfield (email@example.com) or Diane Schnarr will email the PCMSC “Brighton Bunch” to announce ski days at Brighton. You must notify Jay if you want to be on this list. The group will ski mostly trees and powder whenever conditions permit. Normally, we will meet at the bottom of the Crest Lift at 9:30. If you have a Brighton pass, you can park close to the Crest Lift and walk directly to the lift avoiding the ticket windows and a longer walk. (Note, there are restrooms beneath Molly Green’s so you can use those facilities and still park close to the Crest Lift.) If you are late, please call Jay’s cell (435-901-2744) or Diane’s (801-502-8202) and we can arrange to meet.
Powder Mountain Ski Days
Don Twiggs will be skiing Powder Mountain several times this season. If you are a POWDER HOUND, this is the place for you because there is plenty of powder to be had two and three days after a powder dump due to the 7,000+ acres and limited skier visits. Daily lift tickets and season passes are reasonable, see www.powdermountain.com. If you are interested contact Don
directly at: 435-336-3377 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Don will then contact those that respond when he plans to go to Powder. If you are 75 and older, the season pass price is $20, day ticket is FREE.
Notice to all non-members/guests: All PCMSC members sign a waiver each year when they renew membership, and so all non-members/guests will be required to also sign one if they wish to ski with one of our groups. Our ski leaders will will have these waivers. It is PCMSC policy that after three club events non-members will have to join the club to participate further (see Membership on header of club website).
Contact Bub Carlson, PCMSC Ski Coordinator, at email@example.com/ if you have any questions. More ski information is on the skiing page of the club website at http://www.pcmsc.org/.
